LANDSCAPE DESIGN
Landscape Design & Renovation
CL Design & Landscape has been creating beautiful and environmentally sustainable landscapes in southern Maine and coastal New Hampshire for almost 15 years, so we have the expertise to handle any landscape challenge. Our design process begins with listening to the needs of the client, encouraging and empowering the client to share in the design process. The result is a design customized to each client’s landscape vision, functionality, and budget.
Design process
The first step is a site visit with the client. We discuss client project goals for functionality and aesthetics. We also analyze existing site conditions such as drainage issues. The next step is preparing a conceptual design and estimate to evaluate budget goals. Then a final estimate is prepared, outlining in detail, the product, equipment, and labor costs.
Hardscape and architectural elements
We perform design and coordinate installation of architectural elements such as arbors, pergolas, fencing and water features. We will also design and install your outdoor living space including patios, outdoor kitchens, and gas or wood fire elements. We offer hardscape design and installation for house entrance steps, walkways, aesthetic stone walls, retaining walls, and driveways. Quality construction techniques are always implemented.
New home landscapes and renovation of existing landscapes
We offer design and installation services for renovating existing landscapes. On new home sites, we start at rough grade and set the finish grade, including storm water management. New planting beds are prepared for all types of plants and trees, from perennials to large size trees. Both sod and seed lawns are offered. Renovation services include enhancing the mature landscape with pruning and transplanting, addressing overgrown or invasive plant material, creating planting screens and new garden beds, as well as integrating special purpose gardens such as vegetable and kitchen gardens into the landscape.
CL Design & Landscape will also work with local planning boards when landscape issues involve restricted zoning such as coastal and wetland areas.
