Landscape Design & Renovation
The design process begins with listening to the needs of the client, encouraging and empowering the client to share in the design process. The result is a design customized to each client’s landscape aesthetic vision, functionality, and budget.
The first step is a site analysis, a walk through of the client property to ensure that the current project design will complement the existing landscape. The site walk through is also an excellent time to evaluate existing site conditions not related to the current project such as drainage issues. The client interview and site analysis is the basis for the concept design and subsequent landscape installation and construction details.
Our landscape design service includes landscaping after new building or remodeling construction, as well as installation of architectural elements such as decks, patios, outdoor kitchen, fireplace, stonewalls, walkways, arbors, pergolas, and fencing.
We also offer design services for landscape renovation and restoration. These services enhance the mature landscape, addressing overgrown or invasive plant material, creating planting screens and new garden beds, as well as integrating special purpose gardens, such as vegetable and kitchen gardens, into the landscape.
CL Design & Landscape will also work with local planning boards when landscape issues involve restricted zoning such as coastal and wetland areas.
Carol designed and planted a garden for us at our cottage at Drakes Island, ME.
She is honest, sincere, hardworking, generous with her time and advice, and reasonable. She has also done heavy pruning of our rosa rugosa and other shrubs. We are more than pleased with her work and recommend her highly.
